I recently had the wonderful opportunity to see Broadway's newest, most popular musical Hamilton written and starring Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights). Since most of the incredible songs are rapped instead of sung, I will be posting a couple short 'excerpts' from songs with recurring refrains/themes (aka songs with melodies playable on flute). The first one here first appears in Aaron Burr, Sir in the first act with Hamilton and Burr's introduction. Everything in brackets [...] is spoken/has no melody, and the only singer in this section is Aaron Burr.
